Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. The balance of the day is yours.
Day 2: Athens
Observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a unique city on your half-day city tour. Visit the city center, including Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. After a brief stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896, continue to the Acropolis, a architectural masterpiece of the Golden Age of Athens and a UNESCO World Heritage site and the new Acropolis Museum. The afternoon is yours for exploring the city, with its narrow streets animated with taverns, shops, and ancient monuments. (B)
Day 3: Athens | Mykonos
Transfer to the Port of Piraeus where you will board a ferry to the jet-set island of Mykonos for two full days of leisure, on Greece’s most famous cosmopolitan island. (B)
Day 4: Mykonos
Enjoy strolling in cosmopolitan Mykonos Town with its whitewashed houses. Discover the beautiful narrow streets with traditional shops and restaurants, little Venice with the famous windmills and a number of small chapels around nearly every corner. Or, take one of the many traditional fishing boats to any of the island’s world famous beaches and soak up the sun! (B)
Optional: Half-day guided visit to the island of Delos, the center of the Cyclades of the ancient world, the island of light, birthplace of Apollon and Artemis, home to the first multicultural civilization and trade.
Day 5: Mykonos
Second day of leisure in Mykonos. (B)
Day 6: Mykonos | Santorini
Transfer to the port for your high-speed ferry to the island of Santorini, considered by many to be the most beautiful of all the Greek Islands for two full days of leisure. (B)
Day 7: Santorini
Admire the spectacular caldera, created by the eruption of the island’s volcano in the ancient times and the whitewashed houses perched on the edge of Santorini facing the volcano or you may chose to visit one of the islands famous vineyards for a wine tasting. A stroll through the picturesque village of Oia or a visit to the ancient city of Akrotiri, one of the most amazing archeological digs in the world. Make sure to sit back and watch one of the most amazing sunsets anyplace on earth. (B)
Day 8: Santorini
Second day of leisure on the island of Santorini. (B)
Day 9: Santorini | Departure from Athens
An early breakfast followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight to Athens where you will connect with your flight home. (B)
