Day 1: Arrival in Yangon
Upon arrival, meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Yangon
Tour of Yangon, including many of the city’s highlights, such as the 2,600-year-old Sule Pagoda, that is located in the heart of the city. You will also visit the National Museum and the 326-foot-tall Shwedagon Pagoda that sits on a hill 168 feet high, overlooking the city. It is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar. (B,L)
Note: The National Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Day 3: Yangon | Mandalay Bay
Morning flight to Mandalay. After a short trip to Sagaing Hills, embark your 3-day cruise aboard The Road to Mandalay, the most luxurious craft of its kind cruising on the Irrawaddy River, with a gourmet restaurant, piano bar, and spacious lounge as well as an observation deck which provides the best views in Myanmar. After lunch on board, enjoy a tour of the key sites of Mandalay. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Mandalay | Inwa | Bagan
Morning tour of Shwe Kyet Yet Village. Sail to Inwa, the former capital of Burma for nearly 360 years and tour this historic site by horse-drawn cart. The afternoon is yours at leisure to explore this marvelous site. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Bagan
Your ship will dock in Bagan, for an excursion into this ancient city with over 2,000 pagodas and temples. It is the largest architectural site in Asia (B,L,D)
Day 6: Bagan | Departure from Yangon
Disembark from your boat and transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon, where you can connect to your international return flight. (B)
