DAY 1
Arrival in Lima

Welcome to Lima! Meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is yours to relax, unwind and explore. In the evening, a welcome dinner with a live folklore show. (D)

DAY 2
Lima

After breakfast this morning visit one of Lima’s famous markets to see the amazing variety of fish, fruit, and vegetables used in Peruvian food. Afterwards, you will watch as the chefs from a famous restaurant demonstrate how to prepare the Peru’s main dishes, followed by lunch. Tour the Barranco District, famous for being the most bohemian and culturally oriented of Lima’s districts, with museums, designer boutiques, handicraft fairs, and live music. Visit the Pedro de Osma Museum, with the finest collection of Colonial paintings, furniture, and textiles. Later, stop at the museum of a renowned Peruvian photographer. (B, L)

DAY 3
Lima | Cusco | Sacred Valley

Morning transfer to the airport in Lima for your short flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours. A one-hour yoga session is also included. (B)

DAY 4
Sacred Valley

Visit two communities that share a rich Andean past. The first one is famous for having preserved traditional Andean weaving techniques. The second one has preserved the traditional Andean way of life. You will have an opportunity to join them in some activities. (B, L)

DAY 5
Sacred Valley | Machu Picchu

Train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes then transfer to bus to Machu Picchu archaeological site, for an experience you will never forget. After your tour of this UNESCO World Cultural site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, you have free time to explore the site on your own, relax or meditate. After lunch, you will check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner this evening is included at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 6
Machu Picchu | Sacred Valley | Cusco

The morning is yours to explore around the town or rest at the hotel. Your hotel offers free cooking classes for their guests as well as how to prepare a famous Peruvian Pisco Sour! In the afternoon, board the train to Cusco, where the rest of the day is yours at leisure. (B)

Optional: Bus and entry tickets to Machu Picchu and explore at leisure all morning. Possible hikes include “Huayna Picchu” Mountain, the “Sun Gate” or the Inca Bridge.

DAY 7
Cusco

Enjoy a tour of Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The tour begins at the Main Square and the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god. Your adventure continues at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks, strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking the city. The tour continues with visits to three archeological sites which were important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. (B, L)

DAY 8
Cusco | Departure from Lima

In the morning, learn the different techniques for making lovely pieces of pottery, from the hands of a famous local potter. After the class you can choose one piece of pottery to decorate by yourself and take it with you as a beautiful souvenir. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, where you will connect with your international return flight. Entrance into the “VIP Room” at Lima airport is included! (B) (B)
