Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Be welcomed by your private guide and transfer to your hotel.In the afternoon enjoy a panoramic tour of this vivacious city, known as the “Paris of South America.” Drive along Avenida 9 de Julio, the world’s largest boulevard. Continue to Plaza de Mayo with the imposing Presidential Palace, Town Hall, the Tomb of Evita Perón at the Recoleta Cemetery Drive and and other places of interest in this European-style city.

Day 2: Buenos Aires
Spend the day in the countryside, in a typical ranch (“estancia”), enjoying a gaucho-style barbecue lunch, followed by traditional folk music and dance.The ranch has belonged to the same family since 1860. Its 2,965 acres are devoted mainly to agriculture, but also to cattle and horse breeding. A couple of years ago the place began to receive visitors, and it started to adapt its facilities for that purpose. There are the main house and some straw-roofed constructions, with the dining-room, the ‘pulpería’ (a traditional general store which was a social gathering point for the gauchos at sunset) and the gridiron.Be welcomed with a drink and some ’empanadas,’ then enjoy a typical Argentine barbecue. After lunch, enjoy a folklore show with live music, dancing and a tango demonstration, followed by ‘Cuadreras’ ring races where gauchos show their skills as riders. For those interested, there are horses and ‘sulkies’ (kind of two-wheeled chart) to have a tour. Later on, home-made pastries and mate tea will be served. (B)

Day 3: Buenos Aires | Iguassu
Transfer to the airport for flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, be welcomed by an English speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. During the afternoon, enjoy an organized tour of the Aboriginal Iriapu Village. This visit is a unique and unforgettable experience to appreciate the Guarani culture with its traditional way of life and connection with nature. In addition, see many of their handicrafts, such as carvings, necklaces, baskets, and other many lovely creations of the Guarani. (B)

Day 4: Iguassu
Enjoy a tour through the park via a sightseeing train. Walk to the highest point of the falls and, among the abundant nature filled with orchids, colorful birds and enjoy the spectacularly unique views of the ‘Cataratas’. Join a unique boat tour that showcases the essence of the 240 waterfalls and the surrounding jungle of the Iguassu National Park. The tour starts by entering the jungle from the “Sendero Yacaratía” trail. After the 8 km ride, embark on motorboats and head out on a 6 km ride through the Canyon of the Iguassu River, through the rapids and up to the falls. After enjoying the view from the calm side of the San Martin Island and then on to the Três Mosqueteiros Waterfall, where the Brazilian and Argentinean sides of the Garganta do Diabowaterfall can be clearly appreciated. Afterwards, you will get to the wonderful and unforgettable San Martin waterfall, the most exciting part of the tour and the largest waterfall any motorboat can approach safely. (B)

Day 5: Iguassu | El Calafate
Transfer to the airport, for flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.During the afternoon, visit the Estancia 25 de Mayo, located steps from downtown El Calafate. The establishment has 17,000 hectares of land in one of the most stunning natural environments in the world. It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery at the foot of the Cerro Calafate, breathing the purest Patagonian air. (B)

Day 6: El Calafate
Visit the amazing Perito Moreno Glacier on the southern arm of Lago Argentino, towering 240 feet above the lake level – it’s the world’s largest active glacier. Enjoy a cruise with spectacular views of this Ice Age relic, declared part of Human Heritage by UNESCO.(B)

Day 7: Depart El Calafate
Transfer to the airport for return flight. (B)
