Day 1: Arrive in San Jose
Depart the USA on your flight to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Upon arrival meeting, assistance and transfer to your select hotel in San Jose.

Day 2: San Jose | Arenal Volcano
After a leisurely breakfast, your journey begins to the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, where the major attraction is the Arenal Volcano. The tour begins with a climb up to central volcanic mountain range, being inevitable a visit to the famous artisan town of Sarchí, which is the perfect place to find those souvenirs and gifts for your family and friends. Admire diverse agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and cattle ranches. Upon arrival to La Fortuna enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. During the afternoon, visit the world famous Tabacón Hot Springs. At the end of the tour you will enjoy dinner at the resort and then you will be transferred to your hotel in Arenal Volcano. (B,L)

Day 3: Arenal Volcano
Today, you will enjoy a full day of excursion discovering the natural wonders of the northern wetlands. The tour consists of a floating safari tour where our experienced guides will show you the different species of animals that habit in this area. The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge together with Río Frío is a biologically wetland area, one of Costa Rica’s richest areas of biological diversity. Here, you will find a great variety of resident and migratory birds, three different species of monkeys, iguanas, sloths, turtles, and caimans. You will definitely enjoy it! Return to the Arenal Volcano for your overnight stay. (B,L)

Day 4: Arenal Volcano | Monteverde Cloud Forest
Morning depart from Arenal Volcano to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The first part of the trip is adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Arenal Lake that is an artificial lake created to extract hydroelectric energy and home of several species of aquatic birds like Blue Herons or King Fishers that look for their food every day. Upon return to your hotel, you will see how the cloud forest covers the sides of the road and the fresh air fills your lungs; rejuvenating your mind, body and soul. (B)

Day 5: Monteverde Cloud Forest
Today you will enjoy one of the most diverse natural walks in Costa Rica. Because of the activity patterns of animals in this forest, this tour must be taken in the morning, so you can live the experience of seeing wild animals in their natural habitat. The resulting combination of climatic and geographic factors creates temperature and humidity gradients, which change dramatically over relatively short distances. The misty and surreal environment is a true wildlife sanctuary with more than 2,000 species of plants and trees, 100 species of mammals, over 400 species of birds, including the resplendent Quetzal and approximately 1,200 species of amphibians and reptiles, all of this while the cloud forest reveals you a lush green garden of mosses, ferns, flowers and epiphytes growing thickly on every tree. At mid-morning, you will return to your hotel and rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy its facilities. (B)

Day 6: Monteverde Cloud Forest | Manuel Antonio
This morning, your day begins with a visit to one of the most beautiful Central Pacific beaches, the area of Manuel Antonio. It is a beautiful sightseeing ride especially as you descend toward the coast and in many areas, you will observe coastal beaches on route. You will be passing by two main touristic areas, Jaco and Quepos, where infrastructure has developed to make these two towns into coast villages with many visitors all year round; these areas are very popular among surfers and water enthusiasts, including superior restaurants, bars and night life. In addition, one of the area’s main attractions is The Manuel Antonio National Park, which is one of the icons of ecotourism in our country, offering enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest full of wildlife. Day 7: Manuel Antonio National Park
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day tour where we will show you the Manuel Antonio National Park (closed on Mondays). Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of exuberant tropical forest and gorgeous beaches with clear waters. After the internal hike at the park, you can continue to enjoy the beach and sunbathe or enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 8: Manuel Antonio
Today enjoy a guided bicycle tour of the small rural town of Portasol about 30 minutes from Quepos. Visit the local school which has made huge efforts in sustainability which is a vital part of communities across the country. See the ‘event ballroom’ where weddings, fairs and all the activities of the village take place. Stop at the characterful “pulperia” which is the ‘local convenience store’ where all the locals meet daily to socialize and to buy their groceries. (B,L)

Day 9: Manuel Antonio | San Jose
This morning, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beach and the ocean breeze in Manuel Antonio area After mid-day, transfer to San Jose along the coastal highway. (B)

Day 10: Depart San Jose
Transfer from San Jose airport for your return flight to the USA. (B)
