Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Athens
City tour of Athens, including the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Acropolis. (B)

Day 3: Athens | Epidaurus | Nauplion
Leave Athens for the Corinth Canal. Continue to the ancient town of Epidauros, a UNESCO World Heritage site. See the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, considered to be the most perfect ancient Greek theater with regard to acoustics and aesthetics. (B)

Day 4: Nauplion | Mycenae | Olympia
Drive to Mycenae and visit the famous archaeological site and the over 3000-year-old Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. (B,D)

Day 5: Olympia | Delphi
Visit the archaeological site of Olympia, a UNESCO World Heritage site including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Then drive to Delphi, through plains, past picturesque towns and across the Corinthian Bay. (B,D)

Day 6: Delphi | Kalambaka
Visit the magnificent ruins of Delphi, once the most sacred spot in the world, a pilgrimage center for many centuries in antiquity and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk the Sacred Way, and visit the temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the Oracle). Continue to the local museum with the famous bronze statue of the Charioteer. (B,D)

Day 7: Meteora | Athens
Visit the stunning Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The amazing rock formations, like towers of sandstone, stand ageless have provided a sacred retreat for monks for centuries. A number of monasteries are hidden on top of Meteora. After your visit, return to Athens. (B)

Day 8: Depart Athens
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
